“Photography runs through her veins, she’s been born with it.” Lazija Massyn is a Pretoria based photographer, when you enter her home you’ll immediately see what makes her tick, photographs (al lot of it!) and a little 3 year old curly haired boy. You will also notice her thankfulness to the people who helped make her dream of photography a possibility and to the Lord for the talent He gave her.

I must be the luckiest person to be able to call my passion, my job! Every moment that unfolds in front of my eyes, that I capture, is more than just a picture, there are emotions, feelings, a deeper meaning present.

My work is mostly photojournalistic style, with a touch of fascinating modern creativity, a dash of elegance, finished off with a sprinkle of freshness and that gives you hauntingly beautiful images.

It’s this passion and capability to become one with the camera and my surroundings that makes photography as natural to me as breathing. I am a colorful detailed kind of person, the type that you will see sitting at a coffee shop for hours, fascinated by the people walking by, everyone so unique, every face telling a story.
